Insurance
For foreign visitors it is recommended to have a valid insurance at their own country before travelling to Czech Republic. In Czech Republic the health care services for foreign visitors might be provided as follows:
- without payment in cash if a travel insurance is provided
- against payment in cash
- free of charge if there is an international agreement on co-operation in medical care
Customs Requirements
Import and export of duty free goods
EU states: 800 cigarettes, 400 thin cigars or 50 cigars, 1 kg other tobacco goods, 10L spirits, 90L wine.
Non-EU states: 200 cigarettes, 100 thin cigars or 50 cigars, 250 g other tobacco goods, 1L spirits, 2L wine
Currency exchange
Banks are usually open Mo - Fri from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There are many exchange offices, mostly located in the historical city centre and hotels. Commission is about 1 to 10%. We strongly suggest you to pay attention to the commission before exchanging money.
